What is PAN Registration ?
PAN is the unique 10 digit alpha-numeric registration number allotted by IT department to the income tax assessee. This PAN Number is the identification of individual or business, as the case may be, in the eyes of IT department. PAN Number has to be mandatorily quoted on furnishing Income Tax Returns, payment of Income Tax and also while carrying out various financial transactions above thresholds prescribed.

It is a mandatory requirement prescribed by Income Tax Act, where PAN registration must be obtained for all eligible persons who are assessed under Income tax act and having Taxable income above limits under Income Tax Act.
